Paul,

 

If you try the half turn twist, and the buzz is gone or is reduced, at least
you have proven that the problem is in the string.

I agree that you should then replace the buzzing strings.

I thought of that, but is that a permanent solution?  Seems to me that if
the string is defective, the buzz will come back sooner or later.  Since
this piano is brand new (still in the showroom), I think I'll ask Baldwin to
send a replacement string.
