Graphite

I thought that "Dag" was the gunky graphite grease?

NOPE! DAG is Graphite suspended in Isopropyl Alcohol. (usually used on
bridge tops or Jacks, etc.) This is an o.k. application IF the stuff is
Burnished, so that no loose residue is left. Graphite Grease was just
that: Graphite mixed into Grease! Nasty stuff, IMO. As for using it on
Action Glides, please don't. Every time I have to to work on a Grand that
someone has done this, I wind up with graphite all over my hands and shirt
sleeves. It will not wash out of clothing! Not to mention, having to remove
it with a solvent and then re-lubing with an appropriate Dry Lubricant,
such as Talc or Teflon.
