Reconditioning old finishes

I just bought some of this but haven't tried it yet.  What about for slight
crazing or alligatored surfaces?  Can anything be done for these?  I'm
wondering about sanding them back slightly and then French polishing over
the top?  Does that work?

I will second Howard's Restore-a-Finish product.It comes in different
colors,can be applied with 0000 [finest] Steelwool,just read the
instructions.Pacific Piano sells it,as well,or order direct from Howard's
from Paso Robles,California,they sell it by cases...Works great on
scratches.It's a MUST in everybody's tool kit,including piano movers..

We use Howard's Finish Restore.  Comes in different shades to match.  Makes
the finish shine (good for sales), colors and hides scratches.  Buy at Home
Depot.  Wipes on and off with a rag.
