  How about putting in a slightly damp sponge, and then sealing the bottom of the piano with plastic, like that pallet wrap stuff, for the winter?  It's the same approach I use in my guitar case...

    I had considered weather or not the  level signals from the Damp chaser water tray level sensors could be used somehow to activate a solenoid that would maintain water in the tray.
    Maybe Ruth or Webb would have some thoughts on this?
    It would appear risky to set up something like that and walk away from it for the winter.
