Vintage Value (Antique Pianos)

Ed,

You couldn't be more right. I have a store and many times people drive up
with a cut down upright in the back and want it to be restored as an
antique. When I just quote the cost of a refinishing, they want nothing to
do with it. It takes all kinds.

William-

I'm not sure what vintage value means.

Some people want a particular sound or action response. Others want veneer
or carvings to match the house. Some want a BIG NAME decal to impress their
business associates. Some love the piano because it has been in the family
for six generations. Some think they are making a great investment. There
are people who collect mini-pianos!

All of these are values to folks who value them. Match the piano with the
person and you have value!
