Some time ago, I had an "S" that would not allow the last few notes to be pulled to pitch. The strings would not hold the tension, no matter what I tried. I finally called the factory, and was told that a few of these models were produced that had bridges that were not made properly, and the speaking length was too long for the last few notes. Nothing could be done about it, short of modifying the bridge, that would allow those last few notes to be tuned to pitch.
