Subject: steinway squeak

 

Hi List,

Client with a Steinway "K" ca: 70's , loud squeak in damper lift rod in
action. Lubed brackets with clp , no better. Any ideas?

Operate the damper system by hand starting with the lift rod only.  Then
grab the and move the lift rod;  then the pedal rod,  then the pedal.
You'll find your squeak in one of the components.
