Steinway squeak

Oh, it's an upright. No wonder I've never heard of em. I think I've only tuned/seen a couple of Steinway uprights in my short career. Thanks for the #.

Hey Now,

All the squeak diagnostic advice was interesting and informative...thanks to all. Pardon my ignorance but I never heard of a Steinway K.  I 've always had trouble determining the model of these Steinways, well except the newer ones.

    The model designations of Steinway uprights is not always stamped with the serial #.
    Call Margaret @ S and Sons in customer service .1-800-366-1853.
    Give her the ser. # and she will give info on model, date of manufacture, orig finish and often the name and address of the first buyer or dealer .
