    The W. at B <mailto:W. at B> . 90% action was presented as 
a "Grand" action  in a small vertical in the late 1940s.
   I think the ones we had then was the  Shoninger 
brand. 
 
  We found that the action regulation was not reliable.
The best remedy we found was to reduce the hammer
blow a little and or increase the key dip a little.
 
  In extreme cases when checking was the problem 
we would use back check leather  on the  hammer
tails.
 
  Most of the 90% actions will be found  Story at Clarks 
and Everetts.
 
   Richard Bittner  has more experience with these 
actions than anyone I know.
