hammers rubbing

Rick,

A couple of ideas,
If it is happening after the shift pedal is engaged and released, you may find that the keyframe end pins are loose in their slots, and the keyframe is moving slightly.
You could re-hang the hammers on new shanks to be slightly further out
Also, if you do find a way to push the action in further, check C88 to make sure the strikepoint is still acceptable.

Subject: hammers rubbing

List , Kranich & Bach baby grand, ca: 1964 , e and f 5 are catching on the plate after shift pedal is engaged. I have filed off some felt on the under side of the hammer shoulder, but still sticking. Does not seem to be any space to push action in further. Any solutions?
Thanks,
Rick Ucci/Ucci Piano
