Scheduling question

I charge $75 here. I add $25 if I cross the county line, which is normally about 20 miles out, any direction. If I go out of county, I have the owner schedule 4 tunings, no more, no less. Theirs, and 3 more. In 16 years, I have never had someone who couldn't get 3 more tunings.

One other note: you mentioned "exorbitant" mileage fees in a previous post. I must say that I find mileage fees for long distance usually are too low. It is one thing to consider "mileage" when you have to travel say 50 miles to an appointment out of your area. Consider also the 2hr round trip involved. You've just lost an appointment in that time to travel long-distance for someone. I suppose if you don't have a full calendar, it's one thing (except that even then it establishes a troublesome precedent), but if your schedule is full, you'd be mad to not be paid for two hours time. It adds up quickly.

Agreed. And I do charge what our local market can tolerate. And honestly, I haven't seen anyone in our area charging an exorbitant amount of money for their tuning services. You guys are just (as we say in Texas) good folks!

    Best wishes,

    Michelle
