"Perfect wrest plank" ("patent solid iron wrest
plank," "patent tuning apparatus") p.108, "The
Evolution of a Pianoforte," English Illustrated
Magazine, volxx, (Oct. 1898-Mar. 1899)

(I thought maybe it would be this one, "The splendid
piano of her majesty, Queen Victoria, is completely
veneered with ivory, in sheets of from fourteen to
seventeen feet in length, and thirty inches upwards in
width, from a single elephant's tooth! by a spiral
process peculiar to M. Pape. It is also encrusted and
ornamented with the rarest woods, forming original
designs, and rendering it worthy of its place in the
new palace of her majesty." Scientific American.
27.10.1849)
