Gregor, Like your sense of humor. I've always wondered...you sign off as Gregor, but on the heading of your email it says Karl Kaputt. Gregor/Karl, the false beat eliminator thing is just a angled bar with a small slot or grove in the end to apply pressure/seat the strings. I think the idea was so you can slip the thing down between the action and the strings. The tool you use is probably better. I have a better idea for all the spinet lovers out there. Take the action out, ten minutes. Tap down the strings with your preferred method, ten minutes. Put action back in, ten minutes. Within thirty minutes you are now the hero of the Wurlitzer universe!!!!! Well maybe.
