Less aftertouch

  Yeah, same here. Weird, isn't it, especially for this time of year. Even in SF and Pacifica, eh? Peculiar.

 I've been thinking about aftertouch, and came to some conclusions about how less of it would affect the way my action operates. My old-recently rebuilt M and H was not overburdened with aftertouch, but I wanted to see what it was like with less of it.    I've been wanting to do it for a long time, but I've been lazy. I'm like the gardener whose garden is full of weeds. Anyway, I had a few moments to work on my pianner today, so I added a thin card punching to the front rail on all the keys My oh my, it feels quite different.    With a firm punching--I have Crescendos in my piano, and I swear by them--it is possible to get a miniscule amount of aftertouch and have the action operate quickly and powerfully. One's fingers don't have to pull out of the bottom of the key stroke, they almost feel bounced out.   I'm just worried about what will happen when the weather gets warm and dry...
