 Hi Jeannie,

I have seen a k-8, but have not worked on one yet. I HAVE worked on many
k-3s and a couple of k-5s, the smaller siblings. All have the upright
version of the Millenium action with abs carbon parts.

IMHO, they are excellent pianos, especially for the price. One thing I like
is the fact that they have phased out lead keyweights, going instead to
steel(I think) pellets.

I like the R-1s, too. I service two of them, and both are owned by
teachers. Nice pianos, but they do occasionally break strings in the upper
capo section. One of them has it for her second piano, to complement her
Bozie.

Anyway, I think the new K 3, 5 and 8 piano are probably the nicest uprights
of their sizes I've seen from Kawai. Your client could do much worse!
