String breakage at the Capo

It's a GH-1 being used 7 nights a week..I almost have all
the treble re-strung..replacing broken strings, and almost
every single one breaks at the capo.

I have the blow at 42 and let-off at 4.5mil across the board.

Yes, the hammers need to be replaced, but don't count on
that happening anytime soon..no matter how easy or hard I
plead.

I know what the long-term answer is..but is there something
I can do to prevent further breakage at the capo?

Thanks,

-Phil Bondi(Fl)
