tool backpack

I'd like to highly recommend a tool carrying backpack that I've found  
works about as perfectly for piano work as I can imagine, for  
technicians   using transport other than a car (ie. bus, train,  
subway, walking, etc.). I've been using it in and around London now  
for several months and find it's just about ideal. It's very sturdily  
made with big easy-to-work zippers, and the straps are comfortable  
even with a fairly heavy load of tools on board.

It works so well that it's become the tool carrying system of choice  
for several of my British tuner colleagues at Steinway London as  
well, who travel constantly in their work.

The photo on the toolpak website shows perhaps better the way the  
various slots and compartments for up to 100 hand tools (!) are laid  
out. There are two larger pockets on top that are useful for smaller  
bags (using a modular approach), a large pocket inside for paperwork,  
and then innumerable slots of different sizes for tools. It's  
possible to widen the really skinny slots by opening the seams with a  
seam ripper, but the variety of slots works out well for me and I  
haven't felt the need to modify anything. I should mention that there  
are two different models, a blue one with 2 pallets and a black one  
(see picture) with 3 separate pallets.

sort of carrying system.
