Greetings, I have seen model A pianos with smaller whippens than current production, so, that could be a source of problems. Looking at the picture, I have some ideas. 1. there is no way the jack should be that far from the knuckle and the design does not call for the drop screw to be barely touching the leather at its edge. Whippen looks out of place. 2. Since I suspect the whippen is located too far proximal, I would like to know how the jack tails line up 3. Does all the capstan contact occur above the "magic line"? 4. When the blow is set at least at 1 3/4 and you have .390" keydip, is there a lot of aftertouch?
