Jack question for old piano

Doug:

I have two suggestions. One is to lower the capstan screw on the key
until the jack rests on the rest rail. The other is cut the jack down to
the same size as the original then smooth off the top very smooth and
coat it with graphite or some other permanent lubricant. Either way you
will need to check the capstan adjustment.
