Although not unheard of for a Steinway to have an Ampico. (never say never) The vast majority of Steinways were Duo-Arts. Might want to check. He is told the Ampico system has been completely redone and that the piano has been well cared for and tuned yearly and holds a tune. I am hoping to speak with the tech who tunes it to get their opinion of the instrument. I am asking if anyone has an idea of what a retail value might be for an instrument of this type. I understand the huge variable scale here but just some thoughts would be appreciated.
