Its perhaps the oil reacting with over abundance of glue used in the pinning process.
My bet would be the piano is a Samick and that if you reamed the bushing with either Dons or my reamers , you would get a crunchy feeling. <G>

  Anyone ever apply Protek CLP to slow action centers only to find them slower the next day (>10g friction)? Any thoughts on a remedy?
