Had an unusual piano today - 40's vintage console made by Steck called Steck Electron. It appeared that the company had attempted to desugn pick ups under the strings for amplification. The electronics where there but no speakers and nothing worked. An early attempt at an electronic piano? Anyone work on one before. It was very difficult to tune as the pickups where so close to the strings that a mute could not get in there - had to move them back.
