Can anyone tell me what the proper number of tri dampers are for a Steinway S . I'm replacing a set on a 1936 S that has them all the way to the top on the front side , and I know that is not correct . The set I purchased from Schaff has 24 tri dampers in it., and I have 37 damper heads after wound strings to work with . Thanks, Brett -- Want an e-mail address like mine?
