Well, I don't know that I am hardy so much as just used to it. This
didn't compare with that motorcyle wreck outside of Big Sur about 35 years ago,
or the time that we started betting on who could hang a donut on the horn
of an old bull, (that was some stitches and a broken foot). Or the first time
I ever saw a ski jump while we were on the lake, (hint, you can't really do
it on a slalom with a fin, I remember the blood trail that went from half-way
up the ramp to where I lay).
It wasn't even as bloody as the time we were full of Wild Turkey when
someone decided it would be fun to chase bottle rockets in a Mustang,(it went well
until one of the rockets went up under a parked car and we just followed it
right on in there. Recreational bar fighting in high school was sorta crazy,
but I did heal faster back then.
Seems that growing up, I was constantly saying, "Hey guys, watch this".
I am smarter now, I only hurt myself when there is money to be made...
