Center Pin

Is this a trick question??

Thumb and forefinger, pinky held aloft as is good and proper?
I must be missing something if the implication is that there is a tool needed here.  I just start them with my fingers and then press in with the center pinning tool.

  What is the best way to hold a center pin while you get it started to push it through the hole?
