PVC-E (polyvinyl chloride emulsion)I use it on key tops, and have found that if you mix a small amount of PVC-E 50/50 with water, and paint it on the wood first, and let that dry, the bond is much better between the key top and the key stick when using full strength PVC-E to glue the key top.. I have never found clamping to be needed.

Any small amounts on the key I remove with a terry rag after it is dry.  It rolls up and rubs right off.

Maybe you could ask Schaff, as it is in their catalogue as PVC-E

Talked to Bob at Pianotec.  Lots of good info, but not what the goop is.  Maybe
a MSDS sheet on the stuff?
