Aha! I got an msds from schaff for their pvc-e. It did'nt give contents because it's non-hazardous, however it did give the manufacturer, National Casein. So, I called up one of their techs. Turns out, as Del suggested, its an EVA Ethylvinylacetate. The Ethyl, as opposed to polyvinylacetate PVA (common white and yellow wood to wood glues), gives it the much softer flexible glue line than the poly. So I asked him what the devil the PVC -E stands for. He hemmed and hawed and said well thats probably because the soft/flexible glue line was originally designed to adhere to plastic (pvc) for plastic/wood bonds.
