Vertical damper spacing

Here's another use for those dummy credit cards for spacing
flat treble dampers with the action on the bench.

The photo if a out of focus but you can get the idea.

These dampers were way off base but this method works
for even finer adjustments.

I cut a notch out of the card back from the edge the width of a unison.

Place the left edge of the template on the string impression and then
bend the wire to position the felt under the template.
