[CAUT] hammer thickness trimming jigJon, My fingers ended up very near the blade, as holding the tail tight to the set screw was really not adequately done using the shank at the top, at least in my experience. I felt no confidence that I had adequate down pressure or, more importantly, side pressure. There is nothing to secure the hammer adequately IMO. For me, it was a far too likely possibility that the hammer could move and be tossed across the shop. I simply wasn't comfortable with it - I'm sure it works for you and might for me with some instruction, but as learning curves go, this one was rather flat for me. William R.
