Coming in late on this one. I'm picturing a pedal extension that grounds the pedal to the floor when stepped on... If the bottom layer is felt, it shouldn't make too much noise over the band. Maybe drill a hole in the pedal to screw in a properly sized wooden block fitted to the underside of the pedal?
