[pianotech] Piano Technicians and Populations

It's very difficult to find any 'actual' numbers that are relevant.  Heck, it's hard to estimate even how many "technicians" there really are in an area, and how much business they actually get.  In my own research, and in my area, it seems to be about 35,000-40,000 per technician, but that is certainly a "soft" number.
