See my reply to Ron. I'm not saying that plate bolts don't need periodic
tightening. I'm saying that they probably don't require tightening on every
single visit.

So, if once tightened when the plate is installed, there is no way a plate
bolt will need tightening again?  Yamaha recommends plate tightening and I
have snugged there plate bolts many times...not much of snug, grant
you...Steinway's plate screws don't seem to move...her in California
anyway...
