  Terry,  It has a clear path coming from the top, right through the hole in the rep lever arm where the cord comes through, and another hole in the main arm in the base lever of the whippen.  If you can visualize this, two holes going right through to the compensator from the top.  It takes a small drop screw regulating tool.   Talk about engineering, it looks like when the piano is in "normal" mode, the regulating button does not line up with the hole, but when the compensator is engaged, it lines up perfectly to get the tool on the head of the button.

    And oh, that lost mostion adjustment screw - I'll bet that is a lu-lu to adjust 88 of them with the whippen and stack installed! Holy Hanna! How in the world would you even get close to the thing?
