I'm looking at two seperate entries in the Travis book for the Steinway model A. There is a "short scale" and a "long scale". Both indicate the L.O.A. is 6'4-1/2" Is there any way of acertaining the speaking lengths of the strings on these instruments without trying to track them down tape, pencil and pad in hand ?
