Binding hammers

Rick,
Sometimes you just can't see an obvious way to space a hammer. Move it one
way and it rubs, move it the other way and it rubs that side. Maybe all
hammers in the section are too far one way, or maybe the action has had
replacement hammers fitted that are wider than the originals. In these case,
you may have to take more drastic measures. Remove the hammer/s from the
action, take a course sand-paper file (say #60), and file off the offending
edges from the hammer/s.
