I have a customer with a Baldwin L grand nicely restored in 1980. The hammers are in good condition, but the knuckles make a very loud clicking when they fall back onto the jacks. The knuckles are of the old type where they can't be removed and replaced with new ones (the wood in the knuckle center points backwards towards the keyboard rather than straight down). Does anyone have any ideas on how to reduce the clicking, maybe some way to soften the knuckles? Thanks. Mark -- Want an e-mail address like mine?
