rusted piano strings

Mark,
	I disagree. I do not believe that the addition of a Dampp-Chaser
system would have the effect you wished for. What makes you believe that it
would? It's hung under the soundboard, the strings are above, with only nose
bolt holes to allow conditioned air to waft upwards.

I have a customer that owns a Kawai Grand with rusted piano strings.  
Obliviously they would have benefited from a Damper-Chase system, and 
the piano really needs to be restrung; however, is there any way to 
remove some of the rust and extend the life of the current strings.
