 On the GA-1, try tuning the temperament with a couple of wide fifths.?? The wide fifths can be reduced as you octave up.?? I do this on some spinets as well.? It's the best way I've found to get smooth thirds and 6ths on the bass side of the temperament.?? I've had no luck tuning these with ETD's.?? 

I tuned a great sounding C-2 today.??? I could have played it all day.?? Bob.

Alan, you have to admit..Yamaha's been a solid 
company for both the consumer and the techs for 
many years. I think we can let a model or 2 of 
lesser quality go in exchange for their C-series 
beauties.?
