Hi Will,

I have a couple comments about NEESCO and the brochure.

First of all, I will not be teaching my class. Sorry. However, I will be attending NEESCO. You simply have too many fabulous classes being offered. I don't want to miss any of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Just kidding about the class - I will teach - but I just know that I'll end up missing a pile of classes that I REALLY would love to attend!!!!)

AND, on the last page where my class description appears, Terry Farrell is still incorrectly identified as an RPT. Hey, if you can change it with the home office, that's fine with me (although I really don't want anything that I haven't earned), but if not, then I suspect we should make sure to remove that designation. Terry Farrell is an Associate PTG Member. I'm not trying to be a pain - it doesn't bother me one bit - but I also know this is the type of thing that somebody could pick up on and make an issue of. Thanks.

It really looks like you've put together a heck of a convention Will. I'm sure it will be a success.

Terry Farrell

To the readers of the Pianotech List:

There have been some delays in getting our web site (www.ptg.org/neecso) fully loaded with class descriptions and some other additional details, so I am taking this opportunity to post a pdf with the class descriptions as an attachment. This will allow readers outside the Northeast Region to review part of the 8 page brochure for the April 24 to 27th seminar. We believe this seminar represents the finest regional our chapter has ever offered, and that we are breaking new ground in class formatting and offerings.

  Highlights include:

            35 classes by 29 instructors

13 brand spankin’ new, never before seen classes

Thrifty Thursday, when 5 of the 6 one day classes being offered will be available for the additional fee of only $50 on top of seminar registration

9 classes are available within the “Grand Action Restoration – Raising the Bar” series of classes. Among them, Bruce Clark of Mason & Hamlin will be doing a 2 part class introducing the Wessell, Nickel, & Gross composite action parts – just coming on the market for retrofitting to our rebuilds

A 2 day series of classes on soundboard design and construction presented by Ron Nossaman and Terry Farrell titled “Rib Crowned and Supported Soundboards – Towards A New Paradigm?”

“Of Mics and Men (Women and Pianos) – The Art of Recording the Piano”, presented by Barbara Pease Renner (a New York recording studio piano technician veteran) and her recording engineer husband Jack Renner (an 11 time grammy winner)

Other instructors include: David Anderson, Steve Brady, Kent Webb, Wally Brooks, Don Manino, Andre & Christian Bolduc, David Stanwood, and many, many more!

Special seminar hotel rate of $99 per night at the Radisson Hotel.

Registration is presently available online at our web site at www.ptg.org/neecso , as well as by mail. Or contact:

  Bill Ballard
  NEECSO '08 Registrar
  POB 84
  Saxtons River, VT 05154
  neecso.registrar at ptg.org

Air travelers can fly into the Manchester, N. H. airport and take the free hotel limo service to the hotel.

Please take the time to look at our brochure on the pdf. We promise you, you’ll be glad that you did!
