Today, I ran across a Wurlitzer grand (very small) made by an Asian manufacturer that is probably less than 10 years old. The soundboard decal was loose and curled up around all of the edges. The right and left edges were actually touching and buzzing on strings. I'm wondering if anyone has come across this before and how it was solved. I found that it was still somewhat sticky, and was able to push it back down against the board. Then I very cautiously applied some heat to help reseal it. I don't know if it will stay or not. I'm guessing the alternative may to try to remove it completely. BTW, this piano is in like new condition in a small chapel in a lovely retirement facility. It isn't at all dusty or misused. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks. Ray ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ray T. Bentley, RPT Registered Piano Tuner-Technician Alton, IL ray at bentley.net www.ray.bentley.net <http://www.ray.bentley.net/>
