If really think that the pinblock is "good", you wouldn't be considering chemical enhancements. You might be considering repinning with larger pins. If the pinblock is "bad", and you are contemplating applying a chemical of your choice, you are merely forestalling the inevitable replacement or block or instrument. Pin-Tite for a few years, then CA glue might stretch the life of a failing block. I've been amazed what CA can do for a marshmallow Pin-Tite treated block.
