How are you defining after touch? It is the movement of the key (or jack) after the jack clears the knuckle. Look at the top of the jack. Is it clearing and then pulling away from the knuckle? If you are having to get that much dip to get any aftertouch then your blow distance is too great or you have too much lost motion. When you decrease the blow distance to reduce required dip you'll have to readjust the lost motion.
