floating the soundboard

Hi Dean.

Just curious as to your reasons for wanting to try this. Personally I'm
of the opinion that you can intelligently put together just about any
combination of design parameters and come up with a very pleasing
result.... but not necessarily get the sound you were looking for. Or...
if you realllllly know what you are doing you might come pretty close to
what you were after. But to really nail your goal on the head Its my
guess you'd need to do enough production volume to build up a good deal
of experience.

Misunderstand me not... I'm all for experimenting just for the sake of
seeing what you can accomplish.... but it strikes me that if one wants
to really learn how to get the most out of this, or any basic approach
to design... well it demands a commitment of a lot of time and not a few
rebuilds.

I think thats probably why a lot of folks around the world stick to what
they do... because they already know how to do it and they get a very
nice result.

Cheers
RicB
