Gee, Bob, it might help the bass/tenor break! :-) All kidding aside, I've had several clients fumigate with a variety of materials, including Vikane, without incident.

Subject: Fumigation danger to piano?

A client is having her house fumigated for termites with Vikane (sulfuryl
fluoride), and is wondering if her piano will be safe. A quick search of a few
sources provided by Google doesn't have it looking too reactive (except in the
liquid form, and except for certain?impurities). I recommended that she get
written assurance from the fumigators that her piano (Hamburg B) will be
unaffected.

?

Does anyone have any experience with this relative to pianos, positive or
negative?

?

Thanks,

Bob Davis
