 Barbara:

You're a love! I was looking for some classroom illustrations on this topic recently without having to do the work myself. :-) Thanks much, most helpful. Keep up the good work!

Paul

Subject: Centering jacks

Hi,

?

A while ago, someone was asking about centering
jacks in the repetition lever (balancier) window.? I just finished
repinning a set of wippens and while I was putting them back on the rail, I
noticed a couple I had missed centering (another duty done while
repinning).

?

picture 1:? the off-center jack

?

picture 2:? the block of wood under the wippen
support on the side the jack needs to moved toward

?

picture 3:? holding the parts in place ready
for the hammer tap

?

picture 4:? the hammer, ready to
go

?

Obviously, this set-up is for parts not attached to
the rail--which also made it easier for taking pictures.

?

Enjoy.
