I apologize for starting a new thread. I deleted the original before I realized I had something to suggest. You could have an electrician install a UL approved "terminal strip" in the piano. This has screw terminals that the conductors from a power cord and the conductors from the humidistat are connected together on. Then when the power cord is damaged, it is simply taken off of the terminal strip and replaced. The power cord could be made from an extension cord with the female end cut off and the insulation stripped back. A secure "strain relief" should be attached to the power cord to prevent it from being pulled out of the terminal strip. -- Regards, Jeff Deutschle Please address replies to the List.
