We have some built-in closets where we keep some of the pianos that reside in our concert hall. The Bosendorfers we have feature notches under the keybed large enough to grab with the fingers of your palms-up hand. This makes it much easier to pull the piano out of it's cave, especially when clearance is limited through the doorway. I'm considering doing this to other pianos that may see the inside of the closet as well. Is there already some plan to buid such a box? I think I'll recommand a cover installed over it that will go over the complete rim. I'll also include a mackintosh cover to put directly on the piano. Any idea or recommendations?
