Binding Action Leaf Spring

Hello All,

I have not posted in a while but now have a few questions and need a little help so here goes:

1. I have begun to seriously study for RPT exams. My chapter is 6 hours from me so I am not able to attend meetings as I would like so I am a little on my own. My ? how deconstructed are the action models. I have models and would like to practice but am not sure how far to take them apart.

2. I also am working on a grand that has a leaf spring that is "lipping" forward and coming over the front of the action/ or the action is going too far back in the case. The action visibly sits at an angle with the treble end not being able to go in far enough. The treble hammers are striking in the wrong place. With action held in place by the spring it is not possible to adjust the action to set it in correctly. This has been an obvious problem before as the front action rail is damaged where the spring sits. Suggestions?

Thanks,

Steven
