[pianotech] water spots

Hi,

I have something similar I believe I purchased from Pianotek by Behlen
called Jet spray "Blush Eraser". It works great. Our Baldwin D had some
cooling pipes above it in it's "storage" space and the pipe had a leak.
Water AND whatever coolant stuff was in it. Made a bleached out spot about
dinner plate sized on the lid. About 3 sessions with the Eraser, and it
looked like nothing ever happened!

Paul

Water spots can happen with lacquer or shellac. I don't know of water
spots with any other type of finish.
There is a product from Mohawk that is called No-Blush Plus that comes in
a
spray can which will remelt the finish. It has a slow drying solvent
which
allows the moisture trapped in the finish to evaporate. Basically, it's
just solvent, with a very small amount of lacquer in it. No rubbing
required.
Mohawk products are often found in professional paint and hardware stores
(not like Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.).
