Wim: That would be a good idea, except that the damper tray is glued in place as well. I am hoping to not have to break that glue joint if at all possible. This piano was not designed with ease of repair in mind, as evidenced by other difficulties I have run into. It is a Ludwig, with a Staib-Arendschein action.
